Description

A delicious and easy-to-make Beef Pepper Rice Bowl that combines ground beef, rice, and colorful bell peppers for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup cooked white rice
  • 1 medium bell pepper, diced (any color)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the sesame oil. Once hot, add the diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until the onion is translucent.
  2. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
  3. Stir in the diced bell pepper, soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), ground black pepper, and salt. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the bell pepper is tender.
  4. Add the cooked rice to the skillet, mixing well to combine all ingredients. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the rice to heat through.
  5. Serve the beef pepper rice in bowls, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

  • For a healthier option, substitute ground turkey or chicken for the beef.
  • Add additional vegetables such as carrots or snap peas for extra nutrition and color.
