Description
Churro Cracker Candy is a delicious and easy-to-make sweet treat that combines the flavors of churros with the crunch of saltine crackers, topped with chocolate and a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar.

- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 sleeve (about 15–20) saltine crackers
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer, covering the entire sheet.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and brown sugar together, stirring constantly until the mixture comes to a boil. Allow it to boil for 3 minutes without stirring.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
- Pour the caramel mixture evenly over the saltine crackers, spreading it gently with a spatula to cover all the crackers.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, until bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips over the hot caramel. Let sit for a few minutes until the chocolate is melted, then spread it evenly over the caramel layer.
- In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar with a teaspoon of cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture over the melted chocolate.
- Allow the candy to cool completely at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set.
- Once set, break the candy into pieces and serve.
Notes
- For a twist, try adding crushed nuts or toffee bits on top of the chocolate before it sets.
- You can also substitute the semi-sweet chocolate chips with white chocolate or milk chocolate for a different flavor profile.
