Description

This Cloud Soft Condensed Milk Bread is incredibly fluffy and soft, perfect for a delightful homemade treat. The addition of sweetened condensed milk gives it a unique sweetness and tenderness.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1/2 cup whole milk, warmed to about 110°F
  • 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon milk (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast. Mix well to combine the dry ingredients evenly.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the warmed milk, sweetened condensed milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.
  6. After the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air. Shape it into a loaf and place it in a greased 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  7. Cover the loaf pan with the kitchen towel and let it rise again for about 30-45 minutes, or until it has risen just above the rim of the pan.
  8. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Brush the top of the loaf with the tablespoon of milk for a golden crust.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
  10. Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, try adding 1/2 teaspoon of almond extract along with the vanilla.
  • You can also mix in 1/2 cup of chocolate chips or dried fruit into the dough for added sweetness and texture.
