Stacked layers of creamy whipped topping, iconic blue color, soft ice cream sandwiches, and a cookie crumble topping make this frozen treat the perfect monster-approved party hit. It’s sweet, easy, and always a crowd-pleaser!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 ice cream sandwiches

  • 16 ounces frozen whipped topping, thawed

  • Blue gel food coloring (or full bottle of regular blue food coloring)

  • 12 chocolate chip cookies, chopped (such as Chips Ahoy)

  • 12 Oreo cookies, chopped

Instructions

  • Color the Whip
In a large bowl, combine the whipped topping with blue food coloring until it reaches the bright Cookie Monster shade you love.

  • Build the First Layer
Line 12 ice cream sandwiches across the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish. Trim one or two sandwiches as needed to fit.

  • Add the Frosting
Spread half of the blue whipped topping over the sandwiches evenly.

  • Cookie Sprinkle
Sprinkle half of the chopped chocolate chip cookies and Oreos over the whipped topping layer.

  • Repeat the Layers
Add another 12 ice cream sandwiches, followed by the rest of the blue whipped topping. Finish with the remaining chopped cookies.

  • Freeze
Cover the dish loosely with foil and freeze for 3 to 4 hours until firm.

  • Serve
Slice into squares and serve immediately. Store leftovers in the freezer.

Notes

  • You can swap the whipped topping for homemade stabilized whipped cream if desired.

  • For added fun, mix mini M&Ms or cookie dough bites into the whipped topping.

  • Serve with a drizzle of chocolate syrup or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for extra decadence.

  • Great for birthdays, summer parties, or any dessert emergency!
