Description
Gordon Ramsay’s Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes are a delicious twist on the classic cheesesteak, combining ground beef with savory flavors and melted provolone cheese, all served on hamburger buns.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 medium green bell pepper, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and green bell pepper, cooking until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and beef broth. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the shredded provolone cheese until melted and well combined.
- Serve the cheesy beef mixture on hamburger buns, and enjoy your delicious Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes!
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add diced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the beef mixture.
- Swap out the provolone cheese for Cheez Whiz for a more traditional cheesesteak flavor.
