  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 150 ml sour cream
  • 0.5 tablespoon flour
  • 100 g grated cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Season the chicken fillets with salt and pepper, then place them into the baking dish.
  3. In a skillet, sauté the chopped onion and sliced mushrooms in a bit of oil until softened and golden. Spread over the chicken.
  4. Layer the sliced tomatoes on top of the mushroom mixture.
  5. In a bowl, mix sour cream with flour until smooth. Pour the sauce over the chicken and vegetables evenly.
  6. Sprinkle grated cheese on top.
  7. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted and golden.
  8. Let rest for a few minutes, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

  • You can substitute sour cream with Greek yogurt or a dairy-free alternative.
  • Try adding sliced bell peppers, spinach, or zucchini for extra vegetables.
  • Use mozzarella, cheddar, or a blend of cheeses depending on your preference.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; reheat in the oven for best texture.
