Description
A delicious recipe for oven-baked steak topped with a flavorful garlic herb butter, perfect for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ribeye steaks (about 1 inch thick, 12 ounces each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat the steaks dry with paper towels and season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
- In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add the steaks to the skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until a nice crust forms.
- While the steaks are searing, in a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, thyme, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined.
- Once the steaks are seared, remove the skillet from heat and spread the garlic herb butter evenly over the top of each steak.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 5-7 minutes for medium-rare, or until the desired doneness is reached.
- Remove the skillet from the oven and let the steaks rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For a smoky flavor, add a teaspoon of smoked paprika to the garlic herb butter mixture.
- Serve the steak with a side of roasted vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
