Philly Cheesesteak Casserole is a comforting dish that combines the classic flavors of a Philly cheesesteak in a hearty casserole form.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup cooked pasta (elbow or penne)
- 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion, green bell pepper, and mushrooms. Sauté for about 5 minutes until the vegetables are softened.
- Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth. Bring to a simmer.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta with the beef mixture. Stir in half of the provolone and mozzarella cheese.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a lighter version, substitute ground turkey for ground beef.
- Add jalapeños for a spicy kick.
- You can also use different cheese varieties like cheddar or Swiss for a unique flavor.
