Ingredients
Scale
- 2 packs ramen noodles (discard seasoning packet)
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for spice)
- 4 cups seafood or chicken broth
- ½ cup water
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
- 1 ear corn, cut into rounds
- 1 small red potato, diced
- ½ lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- ½ lb crab legs (or substitute with mussels/clams)
- ¼ cup heavy cream (optional for richness)
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
- Sauté the Garlic & Spices: In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic, Old Bay seasoning, smoked paprika, Cajun seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Stir and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Build the Broth: Pour in the seafood broth, water, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce. Stir well and bring to a boil.
- Cook the Vegetables: Add the diced potato and corn rounds. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for about 10 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
- Add the Seafood: Drop in the shrimp and crab legs (or mussels/clams). Simmer for another 5-7 minutes, just until the shrimp turns pink and the crab is heated through.
- Cook the Noodles: Add the ramen noodles directly into the pot and cook according to package instructions (usually 2-3 minutes). If using cream, stir it in at this stage for a richer broth.
- Garnish & Serve: Remove from heat and divide into bowls. Garnish with green onions, parsley, and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. Enjoy immediately!
Notes
- Spice Level: Adjust the Cajun seasoning and red pepper flakes to your preferred heat level.
- Seafood Variations: Use lobster tails, clams, or scallops for variety.
- Vegetarian Option: Swap seafood for tofu and use vegetable broth.
- Storage: Best enjoyed fresh, but store the broth separately from seafood and noodles for up to 2 days.
