- 1 head of broccoli – cut into florets

Instructions
Step 1: Prep the Beef
- Place the sliced sirloin steak at the bottom of a 7-quart slow cooker.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Step 2: Mix the Sauce
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, beef broth, oyster sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and garlic.
- Add cornstarch and whisk until smooth with no lumps.
Step 3: Let the Magic Happen
- Pour the sauce over the beef, ensuring even coverage.
- Cover and cook:
- Low heat: 5–6 hours
- High heat: 3.5–5 hours
- Stir occasionally for even cooking.
Step 4: Add the Broccoli
- Thirty minutes before serving, toss in the broccoli florets.
- Stir occasionally to coat them in the sauce and let them steam until tender.
Step 5: Serve and Savor
- Using tongs, serve the beef and broccoli over steamed white rice, brown rice, or jasmine rice.

- If you prefer extra tender beef, marinate it in 1 tablespoon of cornstarch mixed with a bit of soy sauce before adding it to the slow cooker.
- For a thicker sauce, remove ½ cup of the cooking liquid, mix with an additional 1 tbsp cornstarch, and stir it back into the slow cooker 15 minutes before serving.
