Start your day—or brighten your evening—with this stunning and refreshing Sunrise Mocktail. With a perfect balance of sweet grenadine and citrusy orange juice, this non-alcoholic drink looks like a sunrise in a glass and tastes like pure sunshine. It’s easy, elegant, and a guaranteed crowd-pleaser for brunches or festive gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

8 ounces (1 cup) orange juice, preferably pulp-free
1 ounce (2 tablespoons) grenadine
Orange slice, for garnish (optional)
Maraschino cherry, for garnish (optional)
Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Fill a highball glass with ice to keep the drink chilled.

  2. Pour in the orange juice, leaving a little room at the top.

  3. Slowly add grenadine by pouring it gently over the back of a spoon or directly into the center of the glass. It will settle at the bottom, creating a beautiful sunrise gradient.

  4. Garnish with an orange slice and a maraschino cherry, if desired.

  5. Serve immediately without stirring to maintain the layered effect.

Notes

For the best presentation, use clear glasses to showcase the layered colors. To make it more tropical, substitute part of the orange juice with pineapple juice. You can also turn it into a cocktail by adding a splash of vodka or rum.
