Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan with non-stick spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon until well combined.
- In another bowl, mix the melted butter, buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Gently fold in the blueberries, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Using a piping bag or a spoon, fill each donut cavity about 2/3 full with batter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a glaze, mix 1 cup of powdered sugar with 2-3 tablespoons of milk and drizzle over the cooled donuts.
- Substitute half of the blueberries with chocolate chips for a delicious twist.
