Ingredients

Scale
  • 700 grams wheat flour

  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 8 grams dry yeast
  • 2 eggs
  • 80 ml sunflower oil
  • 10 grams baking powder

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and baking powder. Add the yeast mixture, eggs, and sunflower oil.
  • Knead the dough for 10-15 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  • Punch down the dough, shape it into loaves or rolls, and place on a lined baking tray. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  • Let the bread cool slightly before slicing. Enjoy warm or toasted!

Notes

  • Ensure the milk is warm, not hot, to activate the yeast properly.
  • Kneading well is essential for achieving a soft and airy texture.
  • Brush the bread with melted butter after baking for a shiny and soft crust.
  • Store at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
