Description

Fireworks Cookies and Cream Cookies are a festive and delicious treat perfect for any celebration.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup crushed chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos)
  • 1 cup red, white, and blue candy-coated chocolate pieces (like M&M’s)
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the crushed chocolate sandwich cookies, red, white, and blue candy-coated chocolate pieces, and white chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For a fun twist, try adding a teaspoon of almond extract for extra flavor.
  • You can also substitute the candy-coated chocolate pieces with seasonal colors for different holidays.
