Ingredients

Scale
  • 400 g puff pastry
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 100 g boiled sausage, sliced
  • 100 g smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 2 pickled cucumbers, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 150 g cheese, grated

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F). Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into squares or rectangles.
  • Brush each piece with ketchup, then evenly layer the boiled sausage, smoked sausage, tomato slices, and pickled cucumbers.
  • Drizzle a little mayonnaise over the toppings and sprinkle with grated cheese.
  • Fold the pastry slightly over the toppings or leave it open like a mini pizza. Brush the edges with beaten egg for a golden, glossy finish.
  • Transfer to a lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, until puffed up and golden brown.
  • Let cool slightly and serve warm. Enjoy as a delicious snack, appetizer, or quick meal!

Notes

  • Feel free to swap the sausages with ham, pepperoni, or even shredded chicken.
  • For extra crispiness, bake the pastries on a preheated baking sheet.
  • Add a sprinkle of dried oregano or paprika for extra flavor.
  • These appetizers taste great with a side of garlic aioli, mustard, or a spicy dipping sauce.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in an oven or air fryer to maintain crispiness.
