Quick, easy, and absolutely irresistible!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Apple Slices:

  • 2 to 3 large apples
  • 2 rolls of puff pastry (approx. 500g / 17.6 oz)
  • 1 egg, whisked
  • 100g (½ cup) sugar
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) cinnamon

Optional for Garnish:

  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • Caramel sauce (for drizzling)
  • Slivered almonds (for crunch)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Apples – Peel, core, and slice the apples thinly. Toss them with sugar and cinnamon.
  2. Roll Out the Puff Pastry – Unroll the puff pastry and cut it into even rectangles or strips.
  3. Assemble the Slices – Place apple slices on half of the pastry pieces, then cover with another pastry layer. Press the edges together with a fork to seal.
  4. Brush & Bake – Brush the tops with whisked egg and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  5. Garnish & Serve – Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with caramel sauce.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, chill the assembled pastries for 10 minutes before baking.
  • To prevent sogginess, use firm apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp that don’t release too much juice.
  • Reheat leftovers in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for a few minutes to restore crispiness.
  • Pair with ice cream or whipped cream for an indulgent twist.
