Ingredients
  

For the Falafel
  • 1 can Chickpeas drained and rinsed
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 1 cup Fresh Herbs such as parsley or cilantro
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Coriander
  • 1 cup Flour or gluten-free flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil plus more for drizzling
For the Tahini Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Tahini
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 clove Garlic minced
  • 3 tbsp Water adjust as needed

Method
 

Falafel Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a food processor, combine all falafel ingredients and pulse until coarsely blended.
  3. Transfer mixture to a bowl and mix in flour, baking powder, and olive oil.
  4. Form the mixture into small balls or patties and place on the baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.
  6. While baking, whisk tahini, lemon juice, garlic, and water until smooth.
  7. Serve baked falafel drizzled with tahini sauce and garnished with fresh herbs.

Feel free to customize these falafel by adding spices or ingredients like chili powder for heat.
