  • Salt
  • Cold unsalted butter cubed
  • Cold water

  6. Remove from heat and mix in shredded cheese.

  8. Combine flour and salt in a bowl.
  9. Cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  10. Gradually add cold water and mix until a smooth dough forms.

  14. Spoon the beef and cheese mixture onto each dough round.

Baking Method:

  2. Brush empanadas with beaten egg for a golden finish.

Frying Method:
  1. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Fry empanadas for 3-4 minutes per side, until crispy and golden.
