Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8x8 inch baking dish with butter, lining the bottom with parchment paper.
  2. Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  3. Cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the eggs one at a time and then the vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  4. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle blueberries over the top.
  6. In a separate bowl, beat together cream cheese and sugar until smooth, then add in an egg and the remaining vanilla extract.
  7. Carefully pour the cream cheese mixture over the batter and top with additional blueberries.
  8. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until golden on the edges and a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Let the cake cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
