Waffle Preparation

- In another bowl, whisk together milk and eggs until smooth.

- Gently fold in melted butter, cheese, and chives into the batter.
- Pour batter onto preheated waffle iron and cook for 5-7 minutes.
Gravy Preparation
- In a skillet, cook ground sausage over medium heat until browned.
- Add chopped onion and sauté until soft.
- Stir in flour and cook for a minute.
- Gradually whisk in milk or cream and cook until gravy thickens.
- Season gravy with black pepper and serve over waffles.
Serving
- Stack warm waffles and ladle gravy over them before serving.
