Step‑By‑Step Instructions
  1. In a large saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and mini marshmallows. Stir continuously for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  2. Once smooth, sprinkle in the cherry gelatin powder and stir for 1-2 minutes until integrated.
  3. Remove from heat and fold in the Rice Krispies cereal carefully for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Press the mixture into a buttered 13x9 inch baking dish, leveling the top for a smooth finish.
  5. Melt the dark chocolate melting wafers in a microwave safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until fully melted.
  6. Pour the melted chocolate evenly over the pressed cereal mixture and spread into an even layer.
  7. Let the treats sit at room temperature for about one hour to harden the chocolate.
  8. Cut into squares of desired size and serve or store in a covered container for up to a week.
