Ingredients
  

  • 2 cans 8 oz each refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  4. Brush each triangle with melted butter and sprinkle with a little of the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  5. Fold each triangle in half lengthwise to create a smaller triangle.
  6. Twist each triangle several times to create a spiral shape and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Brush the tops with remaining melted butter and sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon sugar.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For a fun variation, try adding a drizzle of icing made from powdered sugar and milk on top after baking.
  • You can also experiment with different spices, such as nutmeg or cardamom, mixed into the sugar for a unique flavor twist.
