- Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, and salt until combined.
- Combine wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, blend buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and molasses until smooth.
- Mix wet and dry ingredients: Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Preheat and prepare skillet: Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat, lightly spray with cooking spray.

Notes
