  • 2 large Eggs Adds creaminess and boosts protein content.

  • Small saucepan
  • Bowl
  • whisk

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a small saucepan, combine frozen mixed berries with honey or maple syrup and a splash of vanilla extract. Heat over medium-low for about 5–7 minutes, stirring gently until the mixture thickens and becomes jammy.
  2. In a medium saucepan, bring water and a pinch of salt to a boil, then add the old-fashioned oats. Reduce the heat to low and allow the oats to simmer for 5–8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. While the oats are cooking, crack your large eggs into a separate bowl and whisk them until well combined. Stir in cold milk into the oats, then gradually add the whisked eggs, stirring continuously.
  4. Spoon the custard oats into bowls and drizzle the mixed berry compote over the top, adding any additional toppings you desire.
