Ingredients

For the Pudding Mixture
  • 1 box Vanilla Pudding Mix Substitution: Can use homemade vanilla pudding for a richer flavor.
  • 1 box Banana Cream Pudding Mix Substitution: Use an extra layer of fresh bananas and omit the pudding mix for a healthier option.
  • 2 cups Very Cold Milk (2% or Whole) Note: Full-fat milk yields creamier results.
For the Cream Cheese Layer
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Ensure it’s softened to mix seamlessly.
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract Substitution: Use almond extract for a different flavor twist.
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon Optional, can skip for a more straightforward flavor.
  • 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk Can be replaced with evaporated milk for less sweetness.
  • 1 container Cool Whip Substitution: Use homemade whipped cream for a fresher taste.
For the Crunchy Layers

  • 1 pkg Nilla Wafers Alternative: Any plain vanilla cookie works well.
For the Fruit Layers
  • 3 medium Bananas Use ripe bananas for optimal sweetness.

  • serving dish

Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the vanilla pudding mix and the banana cream pudding mix. Pour in two cups of very cold milk and use an electric mixer to blend for about 2-3 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and sweetened condensed milk until smooth and free of lumps. Fold the cream cheese mixture into the pudding mixture.
  3. Carefully fold in one container of Cool Whip into the pudding and cream cheese mixture until smooth and fluffy.
  4. Begin assembling your Strawberry Banana Pudding by layering a thin layer of pudding mixture at the bottom of a serving dish, then alternating layers of cookies, bananas, and strawberries.
  5. Repeat the layering process until all ingredients are used, concluding with a thick layer of pudding. Top off with a final layer of Cool Whip.
  6. Garnish the top with extra strawberries, crumbled cookies, and a drizzle of strawberry glaze. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, ideally overnight.
  7. When ready to serve, scoop out portions into bowls and enjoy your creamy, fruity dessert.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for a smooth mix. Assemble layers right before serving for crunchy cookies.
