- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C) and prepare a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream margarine and SPLENDA® blend for about 2 minutes until fluffy. Then add vanilla and almond extracts.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture until just combined.
- Fold in dark chocolate chips and chopped maraschino cherries.
- Spread the dough evenly in the baking dish.
- Bake for approximately 30 minutes until edges are golden brown.
- Allow to cool in the dish for a few minutes, then refrigerate for about 1 hour.
- Cut the bars into 48 squares and serve at room temperature.
Notes
Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. They freeze well too!
