Preparation Steps
- Grease a large baking sheet with butter or cooking spray.
- In a medium saucepan, combine granulated sugar, unsalted butter, corn syrup, and a pinch of salt.
- Place over medium heat and stir until the mixture reaches 300°F.
- Remove from heat and stir in the baking soda.
- Pour the foamy toffee onto the prepared baking sheet and spread evenly.
- Allow to cool at room temperature for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Optionally add food coloring before the toffee is fully set.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks. For longer storage, wrap tightly and freeze for up to a month.
