  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 28 ounces Crushed Tomatoes
  • 2 teaspoons Italian Seasoning adjust to taste
For the Cheese Mixture
  • 15 ounces Ricotta Cheese can substitute with cottage cheese
  • 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese shredded or fresh
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese freshly grated preferred
For the Lasagna Construction
  • 12 sheets Lasagna Noodles consider no-boil noodles

Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula. Add onion and garlic, sautéing until onion is translucent (about 5-7 minutes). Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes and Italian seasoning, allowing to simmer for about 10 minutes.
  4. In a baking dish, layer meat sauce, lasagna noodles, ricotta, and mozzarella. Repeat layers, finishing with mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
  5. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  6. Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Let sit for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

This lasagna can be prepared a day in advance and tastes better after resting overnight. Ensure all ingredients are fresh for the best flavor.
