Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Gather all your materials: sugar wafers, white chocolate, and optional decorations. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the white chocolate and shortening in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in the microwave at 50% power for 15-second intervals until melted and smooth, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Dip a sugar wafer into the melted chocolate, letting excess drip back into the bowl, and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Immediately sprinkle decorations over the wet chocolate on each wafer before it sets.
  5. Let the wafers cool at room temperature for about 15-20 minutes until the chocolate hardens.
  6. Transfer cooled wafers into an airtight container, separating layers with parchment paper if necessary.
