Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground pistachios, all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and salt. Cut in cold butter using a pastry cutter or fork until crumbly. Add the egg and mix until cohesive. Press into tart pan and chill for 30 minutes.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine orange juice, zest, sugar, cornstarch, and cardamom. Cook over medium heat until thickened, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat, stir in beaten egg and butter until smooth.
  3. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Pour filling into the crust and bake for 25-30 minutes until filling is set and crust is golden.
  4. Once baked, cool completely on a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar and garnish with crushed pistachios before serving.
