- Bake and Cut the Cake 
- Bake the cake according to package instructions, using parchment paper for easy removal. 
- Let it cool for 10 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack. 
- Once fully cooled, cut into 1-inch cubes. 
- Prepare the Pudding 
- Make the pudding following package directions, keeping each batch in a separate bowl. 
- Add a few drops of blue food coloring to one bowl and pink food coloring to the other, adjusting for desired pastel shades. 
- Assemble the Layers 
- Place half of the cake cubes at the bottom of a trifle dish, filling gaps tightly. 
- Spoon the blue pudding over the cake, then add 2 cups of whipped topping. 
- Repeat the layers with the remaining cake, pink pudding, and the rest of the whipped topping. 
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours to allow flavors to meld. 
- Create the Candy Bird Nests 
- Roll small bundles of edible candy grass tightly into nest shapes (2 of each color). 
- Before serving, place 6 nests on top of the trifle, adding 3 candy eggs in each. 
- Serve and Enjoy! 
- Keep refrigerated until ready to serve. Best enjoyed within 3 days.
