Bake and Cut the Cake
Bake the cake according to package instructions, using parchment paper for easy removal.
Let it cool for 10 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.
Once fully cooled, cut into 1-inch cubes.
Prepare the Pudding
Make the pudding following package directions, keeping each batch in a separate bowl.
Add a few drops of blue food coloring to one bowl and pink food coloring to the other, adjusting for desired pastel shades.
Assemble the Layers
Place half of the cake cubes at the bottom of a trifle dish, filling gaps tightly.
Spoon the blue pudding over the cake, then add 2 cups of whipped topping.
Repeat the layers with the remaining cake, pink pudding, and the rest of the whipped topping.
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours to allow flavors to meld.
Create the Candy Bird Nests
Roll small bundles of edible candy grass tightly into nest shapes (2 of each color).
Before serving, place 6 nests on top of the trifle, adding 3 candy eggs in each.
Serve and Enjoy!
Keep refrigerated until ready to serve. Best enjoyed within 3 days.
