Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Whisk together until well blended.
  • Add the softened butter, milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix with a spatula or electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  • Taste the batter and adjust sweetness or chocolate flavor if desired by adding more sugar or cocoa powder.
  • Serve immediately or refrigerate for about 30 minutes for a thicker consistency. Enjoy it straight from the bowl or use as a dip for fruits or pretzels.

Notes

  • For a nutty flavor, add 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans to the batter.
  • Substitute almond milk for regular milk for a dairy-free option.
