  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp fine sea salt
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 1/3 cups buttermilk

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Pancake Batter : In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and sea salt. In a separate bowl, whisk the buttermilk, egg, vanilla extract, and melted butter until combined. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until smooth and lump-free.
  • Preheat and Prep : Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and grease lightly with butter or cooking spray. Allow the batter to rest for 5 minutes while the skillet heats up.
  • Cook the Sausages : If not already cooked, brown the breakfast sausage links in the skillet until fully cooked through. Remove and set aside.
