Equipment

  • mixing bowl
  • baking sheet
  • oven

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet with cooking spray or parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the white cake mix and vanilla instant pudding mix. Add the eggs, softened butter, and milk. Mix until a thick, creamy dough forms.
  3. In a small bowl, combine red and green decorating sugars. Set aside.
  4. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls. Roll each ball in the decorating sugars to coat.
  5. Place coated dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches of space between each.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes until soft in the center and slightly puffy.
  7. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 1 to 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, chill the dough if it feels too sticky and store the cookies in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
