- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and place a pizza stone inside if using.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface until it forms a 12-inch circle. Transfer to a pizza pan or stone.
- Lay mozzarella string cheese sticks around the outer edge of the dough. Fold the edge over to encase the cheese.
- Spoon pizza sauce generously over the unstuffed center, leaving about an inch of crust exposed at the edge.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, then layer pepperoni slices on top.
- Brush the crust edge with olive oil or melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder or Italian seasoning.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until the crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbling.
- Let it cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve warm.
