Preparation Instructions
  1. Begin by melting the unsweetened baking chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl for 1 to 1.5 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the softened salted butter and granulated sugar. Beat for 10 to 12 minutes until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the melted chocolate to the butter mixture and mix for an additional 5 to 7 minutes until well combined.
  4. Introduce the eggs one at a time, beating after each addition for 3 to 4 minutes.
  5. Add ground cinnamon, cayenne pepper, and vanilla extract. Mix on low speed until combined.
  6. Spread the chocolate filling into the prepared crust and refrigerate for at least 3 to 4 hours.
  7. If desired, prepare chocolate ganache by melting chocolate and cream together, then drizzle over the pie before serving.
