- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x5 inch loaf pan by coating with unsalted butter or cooking spray, and lining with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until no lumps remain.
- In a larger bowl, melt the unsalted butter, then whisk in the granulated and brown sugar until smooth and glossy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition, and then stir in the vanilla extract and sour cream until fully combined.
- Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined to avoid overmixing.
- Fold in about 3/4 of the chocolate chips, then pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top.
