Step-by-Step Instructions

  2. Crumble about two-thirds of the chilled sugar cookie dough into the bottom of the prepared baking pan and press down firmly to create a compact crust.
  3. Spread the chosen fruit preserves or jam evenly over the crust, maintaining a 1/4-inch border.
  4. Crumble the remaining sugar cookie dough over the jam in an even layer.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 30–35 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  6. Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
