Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, minced jalapeño, crumbled cooked bacon, sharp cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and lime juice. Blend until creamy and smooth. Set aside.
- Heat a tablespoon of unsalted butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the hot dogs and cook for about 4-6 minutes until browned on all sides.
- Preheat your broiler. Split the brioche hot dog buns and place them cut-side up on a baking sheet. Spread the jalapeño filling on each bun, then place a hot dog on top.
- Broil for 30-60 seconds until the cheese is bubbly and gooey. Keep a close watch to prevent burning.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle with freshly chopped cilantro. Serve immediately.
Notes
For best results, enjoy the loaded jalapeño popper hot dogs immediately after assembly for the crispiest buns and meltiest cheese.
