- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare muffin tin.

- In another bowl, whisk together egg, sugar, milk, melted butter, orange juice, and zest until smooth.
- Gently fold wet ingredients into dry mixture until combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Fold in chopped oranges and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Fill muffin liners about ¾ full with batter.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the tin for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
