Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Peach Puff Pastry
  1. Drain the canned peach slices thoroughly to prevent sogginess. In a bowl, mix with cornstarch, sugar, and cinnamon. Set aside.
  2. Lightly flour a surface and roll out the puff pastry to about 1/8 inch thick. Cut into four rectangles, approximately 4x6 inches each.
  3. Spoon filling onto half of each rectangle, fold over, and press to seal. Crimp edges with a fork.
  4. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Whisk egg with water for the wash and brush it over the pastries.
  5. Place pastries on a baking sheet and bake for 18–22 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before serving, warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Ensure peaches are well drained to avoid sogginess. Experiment with different fruit fillings for variety.
