  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar or honey for a natural touch
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Lime Juice preferably freshly squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon Lime Zest preferably from organic limes

Equipment

  • Medium saucepan
  • Measuring cups
  • spoon
  • Freezer-safe Container

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine equal parts water and granulated sugar over medium heat. Stir continuously for about 3-4 minutes until the sugar completely dissolves, creating a clear syrup. Once the sugar is dissolved, remove from heat and cool.
  2. Stir in freshly squeezed lime juice and lime zest into the cooled syrup. Mix in a splash of corn syrup if desired for a smoother texture.
  3. Refrigerate the lime mixture for about 30 minutes to enhance flavor.
  4. Pour mixture into a shallow, freezer-safe container and place in the freezer. Stir every 30 minutes for about 3-4 hours until fluffy.
  5. Once frozen, serve in bowls or cups, garnished with fresh mint leaves or lime slices if desired.

Notes

For best results, consume the sorbet within one week, and use an airtight container to prevent ice crystals.
