Preparation Steps
- Prepare the Patty Mixture: In a large bowl, combine grated onion, ground beef, breadcrumbs, salt, black pepper, heavy cream, and egg. Mix gently to combine.
- Shape the Patties: Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape into patties about ¾ inch thick.
- Sear the Patties: Heat olive oil and butter in a nonstick skillet. Sear patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Sauté Onions and Garlic: In the same skillet, sauté diced onion and minced garlic on medium-low heat until fragrant.
- Add Seasoning and Flour: Add salt, black pepper, and flour, stirring well.
- Pour in the Chicken Broth: Gradually add chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
- Create the Creamy Dill Sauce: Add heavy cream and chopped dill, simmer until thickened to desired consistency.
- Combine and Simmer: Return patties to skillet, simmer for 5-6 minutes on low heat.
Notes
Combine ingredients gently to keep patties tender. Avoid overcrowding the skillet to achieve a golden crust.
