Step-by-Step Instructions for Healthy Homemade McGriddles
- In a large mixing bowl, combine Bisquick or pancake mix with vanilla PEScience select protein powder. Gradually add in the skim milk and maple extract, stirring until smooth.
- Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with cooking spray. Pour about 2 tablespoons of batter into small circles and cook until bubbles form and edges are golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook for 60-90 seconds.
- While the pancakes are cooking, crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk. In another pan on medium-low, pour the eggs and swirl to spread. Cook until edges firm and fold into a square shape.
- Assemble by taking one pancake bun, layering a folded egg on top, add the preferred breakfast meat, then top with another pancake bun.
