Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the hoagie rolls by slicing them open. Spread mayonnaise on both sides and drizzle with ketchup. Add iceberg lettuce and tomato slices. Set aside.
  2. Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat, add neutral oil, and sauté the diced onion for 3-4 minutes until softened and golden brown. Push to the side.
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet, sear without stirring for 90 seconds, then chop into smaller pieces and mix with the onions. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Divide the beef and onion mixture into two portions, place cheese slices on top, cover with a lid to melt for 30 seconds.
  5. Scoop the cheesy beef mixture into prepared hoagie rolls and serve immediately.

Notes
