Preparation Steps
- Place 12 frozen dinner rolls on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and let rise at room temperature for about 20 minutes until they soften and expand.
- Whisk together eggs, cream, onion powder (if using), salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Cook in a non-stick skillet over medium heat, stirring gently until set. Fold in the defrosted breakfast sausage.
- Flatten each risen roll into a 3-inch circle, place half a slice of cheddar cheese, and about 2 tablespoons of the egg and sausage mixture in the center. Pinch the edges to seal.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Dip tops of kolaches in everything bagel seasoning, arrange back on the baking sheet, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake for 15 to 17 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
