Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together ¾ cup of softened butter and ½ cup of granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add 2 teaspoons of pure vanilla extract and mix on low speed until incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 ⅓ cups of all-purpose flour, ½ teaspoon of baking soda, and ⅛ teaspoon of salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the creamed butter and sugar, mixing until no dry flour is visible.
  6. Gently fold in ½ cup of blackberries and ½ cup of chocolate chips into the dough.
  7. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the dough for at least 30 minutes.
  8. Scoop out the dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  9. Remove the sheets from the oven and let the cookies cool for 5-10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
