Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup fresh spinach chopped
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté the garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add the chopped spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the cooked spinach and garlic mixture with cream cheese, mayonnaise, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  5. Place the shrimp in a greased baking dish in a single layer. Spoon the spinach mixture evenly over each shrimp.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the shrimp are cooked through and the topping is golden brown.
  7. Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

  • For an extra flavor boost, try adding a pinch of nutmeg to the spinach mixture.
  • If you want a crunchier topping, broil the dish for an additional 2-3 minutes after baking.
