Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x9-inch casserole dish.
  2. Crumble the polenta and press it evenly into the bottom of the prepared casserole dish.
  3. Bake the polenta base for about 15 minutes until edges are firm and slightly golden.
  4. In a large skillet, brown ground beef for 5-7 minutes, then stir in taco seasoning, black beans, and diced green chilis.
  5. Spread the filling evenly over the baked polenta.
  6. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the filling generously.
  7. Bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until cheese is bubbling and golden.
  8. Let the dish cool for 5 minutes before serving, garnishing with sour cream and cilantro.

Notes

Customize with different proteins and beans as desired. Allow to cool slightly for easier serving.
