Step-by-Step Instructions for Garlic Thanksgiving Turkey
- Prepare Turkey: Bring your fully thawed turkey to room temperature for about 1 hour. Remove giblets and pat dry with paper towels.
 - Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 325°F (160°C) and ensure the rack is in the center.
 - Season Cavity: Stuff the cavity with onion, lemon, rosemary, thyme, sage, and season with salt and pepper.
 - Make Herb Butter: Combine softened butter, garlic, salt, black pepper, rosemary, and thyme in a bowl.
 - Apply Herb Butter: Rub herb butter under the turkey skin and over the outer skin.
 - Set Roasting Bed: Layer chopped onion, celery, and carrots in a roasting pan as a bed for the turkey.
 - Roast Turkey: Roast for approximately 15 minutes per pound until the thigh temperature reaches 158°F-160°F.
 - Rest: Remove turkey from oven and let it rest for 30 minutes covered with foil.
 - Carve & Serve: Carve the turkey and serve with roasted vegetables and pan juices.
